Super hazy golden coloured body with a honey glow and a thin one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of oranges, curacao, cardamom, coriander seed, wheat and a bunch of yeast. Light-bodied; Creamy, slightly soapy flavour at first with some oranges, orange peel (curacao) and yeast flavours the strongest. Aftertaste is a bit funky from the malt which overpowers everything and is left creamy with a fruity, funky sweet flavour. Overall, an interesting beer - looks great and smells good, but from there on out, it just gets worse. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Super Junior Market (BestDamnBeer Shop) in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$2.19 sampled at home in Washington on 29-May-2012.

Bottle from Bine and Vine. Pours hazy light golden amber with a slight frothy white head. Aroma is light fruit with a citrus background. Approaching med body. Flavor is wheaty, with some mixed light fruits including citrus. There’s a little spice, and there’s a mild earthiness. Nice, but hard to pin down on style. Seems like there’s too much here to just label it "wheat". For me it finishes a little dusty and dry.

22oz bomber pours slightly hazy copper with light tan head. The aroma is full of yummy spicy hops rimmed by little bits of grapefruit and then a touch of cherry hard candy. The taste is yummy spicy hops running head long into a mild level of cherry hard candy like esteriness as well as notes of slivers of malt sweetened floral like hops. I wonder if this has been on the shelf for a bit longer than expected. ISO the freshest sample possible to see if it differs from what I’m drinking now. I’m a sucker for a good spicy hopped brew and this one is really good but isn’t blowing me way like many others have. I find the sort of sweet hard cherry candy note distracting.

Crisp, slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin off-white head that dies fairly quickly. Aroma of fresh resiny and citrus hops with some caramel and rye behind the scenes - a bit earthy too. Medium-bodied; Nice resiny and citrus hop flavours at first with some rye, specialty grains, caramel and figs noticeable in the taste. Aftertaste is lighter, grassier, a touch sweet and a bit earthy - with the good subtle hop notes finishing it off. Overall, a nice lighter APA with some pleasant hop notes, a touch of grass and a little sweetness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Super Jr Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$2.19 sampled at home in Washington on 15-May-2012.

Hazy orange-gold; medium, off-white head. Orangepeel / -marmalade nose, aromas of orangeliqueur. Dry to very dry orange flavour; alcoholwarming, spicy. Medium bodied and quite slick. Nice and dry, not too overdosed IIPA.

Bottle. Smooth earthy orange malt and orange peel aroma. Hazy amber color with moderate head. Sweet smooth orange malt and mild orange peel hops flavor. Excellent - really like this hop type.

Bottle shared in line at DLD 2012. Funky fruity orange, floral hops aroma. Hazy Amber with a moderate head. Malty orange flavor with a floral hops finish. Light to medium body. Very nice malt / hop balance.

750 c&c thanks to Fred at Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA who is always great at getting good beers for web orders. Pours dark amber with almost no head. Aroma of fruit and rye. And vanilla. Med body. Flavor is sweet, rye, vanilla, and suddenly a lot of brown sugar with maple. There’s oak and maple in the finish. Very, very nice.

On tap at the release. Pours with a hazy deep brown hued body with a fading tan head. Aromas are of rye whiskey, tannin, bourbon, vanillin, brown sugar, molasses, raisins, toffee, dark fruit. Still a light hop character present. Flavors are detracted by a light oxidized hop presence (noticeable, and something I’m sensitive to). Brown sugar, molasses, toffee, dark fruits and whiskey. Medium alcohol. Pretty dry for how massive this beer is. Thick bodied, tannin, medium to low bubbles and quite warming. Good, but I wish there were slightly less (oxidized) hop character.

On tap at the source. Pours with a lasting white head over a hazed golden hued body. Aromas are bready, grainy, and floral. Mild esters, lots of wheat, light fruity hop notes and some peppery phenols. Flavors are medium phenol, lots of bready and grainy notes. Tons of wheat character. Light floral hop. Lively bubbles, finished dry. Nice and easy to drink.
