Bottle shared courtesy of Grumbo with ITFCDan. Aroma of grain, citrus, hoppy. Taste is slightly metallic, citrus and malty finish. Not too bad.

30/10/2021. Bottle shared with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma of grain, straw and citrus. Taste was citrusy and grainy with light carbonation. Faded a bit.

I enjoyed quite a few Moon Gazer brews on a recent trip to Norfolk so was happy to find this collaboration brew with a local to myself brewer. Standard porter really - perhaps expected more, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours dark brown with small beige head, nice consistent retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coriander, chocolate, burnt wood, citrus peel. An odd combination - this could be awful, great or somewhere in the middle! Taste turns out to be on the excellent side! Taste has a roast and charcoal start followed by an orange citrus to offset and give it fruitiness, followed by coriander and chocolate moreish middle, finish has a combination of aforementioned, light fruity tang and smoke. Moderate bitterness throughout. Near medium bodied, fairly smooth, works well for a 4.5% porter. Wow excellent stuff, I love it when a beer far outshines expectation.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a light amber, moderate sized white head, nice lasting top and lacing. Aroma of bubble-gum, light citrus and grains. Taste of sweet malts, tangy citrus, floral and bitter hop notes. Nice medium body and smooth mouthfeel. A little undefined in the flavour but decent beer overall.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a clear amber, moderate sized white foamy head with nice lasting covering and good lacing. Aroma of biscuit malts, floral hops come through being quite pleasant on the nose. Taste again is quite biscuit noted for an IPA but gives way to a lovely mellow but flavoursome floral tasting hop which I can only describe as being slowly led through a buttercup field by a nymph. That combined with a nice smooth mouthfeel makes it quite delightful on one level. Flip side is there is only one level i.e. not much complexity. However as session beer top notch.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark red-brown colour with big bubbled small off-white head Aroma of malts, burnt toast, hay, some chocolate. Taste is very roasty and caramel malt noted with nuts, hay and a grassy bitterness. Near medium bodied, smooth. Good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a clear dark amber with nice moderate sized off-white head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma is quite minerally and grassy with biscuit notes. Taste of caramel, biscuit, spice, citrus, mineral and grassy crisp finish. Light to medium bodied but a good full feel for the strength. Has more going on than your average malty amber ale. Enjoyed it.
