Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the farm shop in Mayfair, of all places. Pours faintly hazed ruddy gold with a creamy, off-white topping. Medium sweet flavour with notes of sun-baked malts, gooey pine, ripening citrus, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Piney-rindy finish, richly malty, more ripening citrus. Fun, old-school kind of gear.

440ml can from the brewer's stand, Cheddar Food & Drink Festival 2023. Pours unclear, almost mucky looking dull gold, minimal patchy head. Exotic yeasty nose. Taste is a little muddled, some patchy yeast, exotic yoghurt sweetness. It's ok.. doesn't quite hit the New England style square on the nose but some pleasant fruity yeasty shades exist. Ok sipper, best I've had from this brewery.

440ml can from the brewer @ Cheddar Food & Drink Festival 2023. Pours a deep hazed golden amber, patchy white head that basically looks like yeast floating atop. Aroma of pleasant fruity mosaic. Very light carbonation, taste feels a bit flat, mild fruity mosaic shades, but overall a bit lacklustre. The appearance doesn't help. So so.

440ml can from the brewer's stand @ Cheddar Food & Drink Festival 2023. Pours hazed dark brown, receding beige head. Decent dark swirls, low carb, a touch herbal, bittersweet, some mild cola. Wouldn't label as a black IPA necessarily but an ok dark ale overall.

11/3/2023. Cask at the 2023 Coventry Beer Festival. Pours murky dark brown with a minimally bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, flowers, mild honey, dark fruits. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly watery, soft carbonation. Not much to look at and lacked some body, but aroma and taste both nice.
