Clear golden ale with no head. Has a light and crisp character and a thin texture. Has a fruitiness in both its aroma and taste but its not well stated. Slightly watery.

Cask. Ambery pale brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is bready and caramelly malts along with mild toasted and wooden notes. Flavour is caramel malts, mild toasted notes, some wood, resiny and floral notes as well. Nice bitterness in the finish. The floral bitterness also sticks for quite a while in the aftertaste.

On cask at the Grape and Grain Autumn beer festival, Crystal Palace. Amber pour with a white head. Caramel and toffee aroma. Quite an earthy taste. A little chocolate in there with some caramel and nuts. Dry. Light bitter finish.

Cask at Bishops Stortford Beer Festival 2010. An unclear amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of caramel, straw, and lighter notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 20.06.11 Pours amber with small white head. This is fruity with a touch of sharpness, tangy with plenty of citrus. Possibly a little past its best but acceptable, not like my first beer which had to be passed back. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

bottle from Sidmouth Wines (08/2010). Chestnut colour, no head. Old socks and oak in the aroma. Sourish woody flavours dominate, hints of caramel, wood-aged flavours. Quite interesting, though.

bottle from Trumü’s Sidmouth (08/2010). Chestnu-brown colour, aroma of citrusy hops and old socks and sweat. Malty with hints of caramel. Citrusy hops in the finish. Interesting, quite nice actually.

On gravity at the Green Man, Bristol 27/09/10. Amber in colour with a slight white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with a whiff of citrus hop. Flavour was packed with caramel and red fruits, leading to a syrupy finish with over prominent alcohol. Not so pleasant.
