Bottle from Brewer's Droop, Bristol. Pale gold in colour, with a slight haze and decently sized white head. Crisp lager malts, some lemony noble hops, with a slight floral edge leading to a lingering, bitter, finish. An enjoyable take on lager.

Bottle from the Upton Cheyney Chilli stall at the Bristol Christmas market. Dark brown with a beige head and light fizz. Nice roast malt and chocolate up front; a slight green pepper sourness and bitterness comes through. The chilli hits at the end and is maybe a bit strong for my liking, although not overly so - others may think it's about right. Decent full mouthfeel. Overall an ok brew, but for me personally it could do with toning down the sourness and chilli a bit.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. A bright, pale amber pour with a thin white head; grainy aroma; smooth grainy body with a lemony citrus bitterness; and a long spicy finish. Rather good.
