Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham 19/11/22. New brewery for me. Near black, small black creamy beige head. Dark malts, chocolate, light coffee and dark fruit, bitter roasty finish. Smooth mouthfeel, subtle carbonation, slight drying. Very good mild.

Hand-pulled pint at the Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse on 17th August 2024. Red hue in the amber/mahogany clear body, beige crust on top. Piney hop bitter with a citrus undertone, liked it.

Gravity cask at the Stratford Alehouse, Stratford Upon Alehouse. Golden brown, clear with a smattering of off-white head. Light malty aroma, some orange peel, maybe a little smoke. Complex taste, sweet malt with toffee, a little bit of marmalade and stone fruit, tea, grassy herbs. Bitterness right at the finish. Light body and almost no carbonation. Impressive.

Cask handpull at Shakespeare Head Holborn JDW. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Interesting Harlequin hops. Yes. Some dark fruits like blackberry. A Harlequin ESB would be good. Good depth to the hop fruit flavour. Decent enough. Rest of beer is OK. Good bitterness on the finish.
