Bottle at home from the brewery. Served cold from the fridge it poured well with a respectable head. It tastes like a standard, straight down the line English porter and there is nothing wrong with that at all. There was a surprisingly good balance between bitter and sweet that stood out in the profile. Just plain old nice.

Bottle at home from the brewery. I had this straight after their pale ale and it wasn't as good. There was a lot of farmyard going on in the flavour, but it did calm down as the beer progressed. It was ok, but I have had much better bitters.

Bottle at home from the brewery. A good pour of what is, in my opinion, a classic example of an old school English pale ale. And there is nothing wrong with that at all. Lots of malt, but an emphasis on the bitter hops brought lots of flavour and a pleasing mouthfeel. All at just over 4% abv and perfect for the weather.
