Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours dark red-brown with a bubbly tan head. Light sweet flavour with notes of old wood, earth, soft roast, a little ash. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Earthy bitter finish, some burnt grains, leathery old fruits. Alright.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear dark brown amber beer, tiny pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow tangy malts, a modest ripe fruitiness. Light finish. Hummm, just another mild tangy dark beer. Nothing to see here, move along.

[On tap at the Outhouse, Wokingham.] A pale straw coloured pour with a slight haze and thin white cap; lemony aroma; fresh lemony taste with a soapy body; and a dry finish with a pithy lemon bitterness. Interesting.

[On tap at the Outhouse, Wokingham.] A pale straw pour with a ring of white head; fresh grassy aroma; smooth in the mouth with a full grassy taste; then a clean finish with residual sweetness. A nicely made pilsner.
