Description
London Brewing Company was founded in 2011 in a small brewpub in Highgate called the Bull. It was here we honed our skills as one of London’s only Brewpubs, brewing cask ales primarily for sale on site.
In 2014 we purchased a warehouse sized pub in North Finchley called the Bohemia and had a 6.5 barrel (1000L) brew house installed at the rear of the premises. This pub has developed in to a social hub for the community, with a focused and popular beer range across both cask and keg.
Everything we do from food, events to great pubs is built around the brewery. Here we spend hours toiling, learning and experimenting to create hand-crafted drinks of the highest quality. Although our beers have won awards from CAMRA, SIBA and have been served as far away as Finland, Ireland, Scotland and America we are proudest to have our local London customers keep coming back for more.

Keg at the Euston tap. A jet black coloured pour with a a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is tart jammy berry fruits, black malts, raspberry jam, black forest gateau, . Some warming alcohol on the nose. Flavour is composed of rounded dark malts, dark choc, liquorice, tart raspberry, jammy blackberry, . Finishes pretty sweet, under attenuated. Palate is full and sticky, mellow carbonation. The alcohol is there but it drinks pretty well for the abv. Some signs of a stressed ferment.

Keg at Euston Tap. It pours darkest brown with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, intoxicating, sticky, loads of liquorice allsorts, treacle, toasty, salty, umami, jammy and dried fruits. The taste is rich roasted malt, plenty of liquorice, slick, treacle, chewy malt, dried berry, eccles cake, umami, spice, wood, booze and a touch of vanilla with a dry, chewy finish. Full body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth - feel. Rich and savoury. Decent.

Cask at GBBF 2016 (impressive to see a UK cask sour for a change!). It pours lightly haze bright rose pink with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, funky, ripe fruit, sour raspberry, guava, jammy, sherbet and Granny Smith apple. The taste is crisp, clean, tart, juicy, sour raspberry, jam, sherbet and a good mouth-pucker. Medium body and fine carbonation. Bright, tart and fruity. Tasty.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy pinkish beer, a few white bubbles for a head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Tangy raspberry, not quite sour. Touch of lemon and floral tang. A dry finish has the fruit getting punchy tart. Interesting.
