Brown, opaque, with a rapidly disappearing head. The aroma is slightly roasted, a bit chocolatey, with a rather faint nutmeg note. The body is okay, but I was hoping for a more viscous finish, negligible carbonation, and a warming, spicy finish. The taste has a touch of roastiness and chocolate, but lacks toffee and all the other ingredients on the label. This porter didn't live up to my expectations, considering its name.
