Cask-conditioned at the South Wales Beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 8/11/2012. Pale gold with a slight white head. Big grapefruit and mango aroma. Flavour had more tropical fruits and some creamy malts, leading to a rasping, bitter finish. A bit too full on for me.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 19/10/12. Very dark mahogony brown approaching black in colour with a thin tan head that soon clears to the edge. Roast malt nose and strange plastic/chemical tones. Taste follows the nose, roast malt and this strange mix of plastic, herbs and light medicinal qualities. Medium bodied with little carbonation leading to a slightly astringent finish. Left half of my half pint - sums it up pretty much!

Well hopped ale with a significant nose in this respect. Is dry hopped in its taste.

On gravity at the Great Welsh Beef Festival Cardiff, June 2011. Black with no head. Aroma of chocolate and dark fruit. Thin bodied, with some burnt cereals and a touch more chocolate. Would agree with the comment below about it being more mild like. Not a beer I would rush to drink again.
