Wakefield Beer Festival. Stout with a mild character but the fruit influence is just about evident. Very dark with a small bubbly head.

Wakefield Beer Festival. Amber with a thin head. The spice is evident in its nose and the small fruit taste is very pleasant. It’s texture is smooth.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Almost clear amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, softish with a little fine carbonation. Smooth malt with mild cream. Pleasant fruits underneath, mellow, tangy and sweetish. Light flowers and honey. Running through it all is a nice smoked kipper type of smoke. Finishes smooth with more fruits. Well joined up and tasty.

Craft Clerkenwell Cask. Light haze on this pale gold beer, small white head. Smooth palate, semi dry with fine carbonation. Pretty clear green apples. Touch if orange citrus, well buried. Finishes semi dry. Way too green.

Cask handpull at the Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Thanks to Colin for the pour. Rd caramel colour with a small reluctant head. Aroma is caramel, mapel sausageand smoked malt. Flavour is nutty caramel, touch of wood, smoked malt. Finish is mapel syrup sweet. Medium full body. Decent beer. Falls sort of the Franconians.

Cask at Craft Clerko with some ticking types, 22/10/13. Dark chestnut brown with reddish hues and a good sized light tan head. Nose is Frazzles, smoked malt, toffee, grain, good smoked nose. Taste comprises rich dark toffee, smoked malt, caramel, smoked gammon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smoked finale. Really good quality smoked affair, spot on and the ABV is well hidden too!
