Cask stillage at the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, light spicy ashtray. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, molasses, light chocolate, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

I didn't even realise that Flower Pots were still going, but this is delicious! A proper cask light bitter, doesn't taste remotely 4.8%. Dangerous

Bottle from JSteve and drunk at home. Clear mid brown bitter colour. Lasting beige head . Light caramel aroma. Some earthy hops. Hey its a brown ordinary bitter that tastes exactly how you would imagine. Slightly malty slightly hoppy. I mean it is moderately bitter for a bitter.

Bottle from JSteve and drunk at home. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Oranges aroma. OK malts in the mouth. Some more flowery citrus fruits on the finish. I thought pretty decent. Doesn't smell pasteurised. Decent freshness. I liked it. Would be super drinkable on cask.

Cask at EBF Nov 23. Aroma has dark berries, charcoal and a hint of citrus. A murky darkest brown. Frothy foamy beige head. Hmmm... first thought is that the flava is kinda watery. Aside from that initial negativity, we have a bitterness that combines black coffee, charcoal and herbal elements. A citrus edge. Light-medium bodied. Verging on creamy. Flat carbonation, a tint bubbly tickle in the tail-end. Long dry astringent finish. Enjoyable Black IPA, if it feels restrained.
