Cask (South Western Arms, Southampton) - Pale golden in colour. Sherbet lemon aroma with hints of pineapple. The taste is dry at first, but then becomes more fruity and tangry with notes of grapefruit and lemon.

Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity slightly floral hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty fruity caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty fruity hoppy finish.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 21-12-09 Stood in the pub whilst it was blizzarding heavily outside, so only had chance to have small amount before I realised that not moving soon may see me stuck in Aylesbury for the evening. Pours brown a touch hazy with an off-white head. There is a good level of bitterness, some dark fruits, its not as sweet or as cloying as I was expecting and even the alcohol isn’t the harsh burner that I believed it was going to be. Nice stuff wish I could have had more time, not been driving and the snow not quite so hideous. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, lasting beige head. Slightly buttery golden ale. OK but just that bit of diacetyl that doesn’t belong in a golden ale.

[Cask at Seaview Hotel, Seaview, Isle of Wight] Amber, slight white head. Citrus at first, with wheat chaff hints. Quite sweet. Minerals come through in a lasting finish. Maybe a little watery, but generally OK.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2008. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hints of hops. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty finish with some hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, 37 Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, West Midlands England B2 5SN.Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090120]

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 09. Amber, disappearing off white head. Grapefruit hoppy aroma, some toffee. Actually that toffee is diacetyl. Too much diacetyl. Poor.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham 21/01/09. Golden in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of floral hops with some sweet malts. Flavour was also sweet with some apricots, hay and a touch of citrus in the finish. Good.

Gravity dispense at Pig’s Ear Festival 2008, London
Dark brown, almost black color. Sweet caramel aroma and sweet caramel flavor. There is also some nice hop and light yeast aroma, some chocolate flavor; smooth caramel brew, with a sweet caramel final, light fruitness, leaving a very pleasant trace of English hops. Very enjoyable.
