440ml can into a Berliner Kindl bulbous glass at Auntie Sue’s on 27th June 2025. Clean and clear deep golden body, Snow White cap. Malty front, light hop content. Nice in the afternoon sun. The “cut once” is now omitted one the can label.

500ml bottle from Bath Road Beers, Cheltenham. Pours brown with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, dark berries & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish

Bottle from Melbecks Garden Centre, Coleshill. Look: Clear chestnut with decent off white head. Aroma: of caramel, sweet toasted malts, nuts, red and dark berry fruit. Taste: starts similar - toasted malts, caramel, quite drying leafiness, then sweetness comes through with a berry fruitiness, finishing back with the malts and light roast. Palate: Just shy of medium bodied but works well here for strength, still slick and flavours linger. Very good for the style.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Clear gold, small white head. Pithy, light tanginess, quite herbal and drying in the close with grassy bitter finish. A slightly cloying palate. Its ok.

Bottle from Melbicks Garden Centre, near Coleshill. I dislike the word 'bespoke' ever since the term went into overdrive in corporate circles probably over 10 years ago now. You couldn't have a sentence without the word in it, and although its used more appropriately now, it still gives me shivers. For this reason I have tended to avoid picking up beers from this brewery but I called a temporary truce after reading reviews on here for this gold beer whist in store. It certainly pours well with a nice clear dark gold and fluffy consistent white top with good lacing. Aroma has a nice English floral and spice hop with a hint of light marmalade on a fairly standard malt. Taste follows with a good hop profile - citrussy, spicy, floral-grassy bitterness on a light bready base. Nice smooth body to this as well. Excellent gold.

14/11/2024. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours very slightly hazy pale gold with a short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is sweet apple, citric, flowery, funky, sulphur, hint of strawberry yogurt. Medium sweetness, slight tartness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Sweet dry finish. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from Favourite Beers. Red orangey-gold colour, purple-pink foam head that dissipates and aroma of raspberry, strawberry, berry cordial, alittle apple & a citric note. Taste is sweet, berries, strawberry, raspberry, ribena, with some apple and alittle tart citrusy acidity. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet drying berry finish. OK.

500ml bottle from Favourite Beers. Sparkling, golden colour, thin white foam head and aroma of apple, straw, funk, sulphur. Taste is sweetish, appley, fruity, some core, with drying acidity and bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, medium tannic finish. Quite drinkable.
