Bottle, from trade with HenrikSoegaard. Finally, the English map is complete. Itโs a clear, golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. Biscuity, toffee-ish aroma with a little fruityness. Orangey hoppyness in the flavor, with biscuity, toffee-ish malts. Some bitterness. Medium body, semi-dry. Soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the end. A super-boring beer, but easy drinkable. 120915

Brown 500ml bottle, best before May 2010, drank and reviewed 1st Oct 2009. Poured into an โOld Speckled Henโ badged vase shaped pint glass. This beer is one of three different brews obtained on a visit to the brewery in Oakham. This beer is brewed using a 1930โs recipe with Fuggles and Goldings, the malted barely being Pale Ale and Crystal along with some maize. A light orange, amber, almost golden body which is clear and fairly well carbonated. The thin white head became a wisp pretty swiftly. The smell is weak, some hop presence but otherwise nothing to note. The taste is also a little on the weak side, no great flavours to talk about, a hoppy aftertaste comes as the beer warms in the mouth. The beer is tangy because of its carbonation more than its beery ingrediants. Not as good as Iโd expected.
