Cask at GBBF '18, day 2, 08/08/18. Golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric tinged straw, melon, lemon rind, faint breads. Taste comprises airy malts, citric peel, tangerine, grassy, toasted grains, light bread dough. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok golde

Bottle split at the pre GBBF Shindig '18, from the local CoOp, 04/08/18. Light chestnut brown with a decent off white cap. Nose is tangy fruits, stale brown bread, biscuit, dusty fruits. Taste comprises brown bread, dark malts, nutty, fruit esters, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok bitter.

[ As Phipps NBC Midsummer Meadow ].
ABV: 3.9%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light bread, light cookie. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, cookie, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180808]

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and fairly dry palate, very modest fine carbonation. Thin dry pale malts, just a bare whisper of sweetness. Floral mid. Dry and pithy citrus, a little insipid. Dry finish. Bland and dry.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth shindig 04/08/2018. Many thanks. A clear amber red brown coloured pour with a a fine beige grey head. Aroma is hay, toffee, grassy, weed. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, green apple, woody apple, thin grains. Palate is semi sweet, airy carbonation.

Bottle at Pre GBBF Shindig 2018. Clear amber colour lasting beige head. It's a classic British brown bitter. Some malt some apple some dry twig.

Bottle care of Colin. It pours clear brown with small beige head. The aroma is earthy, musty, dirt, brown bread, rivita and spice. The taste is drying, bitter, earth, tannin, oily, bark, chewy, tannin and spice with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Very drying and tannic. Pretty shit and chewy. Tannic. Not for me.

ABV: 4.6%. Clear light dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, light roasted - chocolate, hazel nut notes, earthy notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, roasted bitter - malt bitter, dark malt, sweet malt, hazelnut notes, light earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180731]
