10/2/2019. Bottle from Bottle Mix, Kettering. Pours dark amber to brown with a small beige head. Aroma of toffee, fruit, malt, syrup and warming alcohol. Medium to heavy sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from Brendan's Brewtique, Bristol. Deep copper in colour, with a big and lacy, off-white, head and slight carbonation. Sweet, biscuity, aroma with a hint of honey. Flavour was malty, with more honey, some red fruits and a gently bitter finish. Fine.

ABV: 4.8%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average to large, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, moderate hoppy, wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, wood, dark malt, roasted, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190124]

Bottle from the Blue Glass, Bedford. Reddish brown and hazy with a small ring of off-white head. Caramel smell with the spicy sourness of the rye. Tastes sweet with a basic hoppy bitterness. Shirt finish. Body is fairly watery. A bit disappointing all in all but certainly drinkable.

Sample@GBBF2018, London, with the Malmö crew - Golden clear pour with a white head. Fruity and sweet and light toasted malty, cereal, straw, medium body, grassy piney drying hoppy bitter bite into the close.

Cask at GBBF 2015 - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds grains, ripe citrus, orange rind. Light sweet flavour with nips of melon, more citrus fruits, pale bread, a little dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more grainy pale bread, ripe lemon. Good enough.
