Cask @ New Oxford, Salford. Very dark reddish-brown with a thin creamy off-white head. Medium bodied with a rich roasted malt aroma and taste with some chocolate in its aftertaste.

Gravity dispense at the 15th Kingston BF, 16/05/14. Light black with a moderate tan swirl and edgework. Nose is big on the liqourice, dark malt, toffee, blackcurrant brings up the rear. Taste comprises light roast, dark malt, earthy cocoa powder, root liqourice, bramble berries Medium boided, fine carbonation, light spritz in the carbonation. Decent mild, plenty of flavour, does exactly what it says on the tin!

Gravity dispense at the 15th Kingston Beer Festival, 16/05/14. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is citrus fruit, straw, mandarin, orange pith, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, bread dough, peach, straw, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough Golden affair.

Cask (handpump) @ Crown and Kettle, 2 Oldham Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England M4 5FE.Clear medium yellow color with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fudge, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, citrus, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130126]

Leeds Beer Festival. Hazy blonde with a small head and a fruity nose. It has a lingering tropical fruit flavour.

Pigs Ear. Light haze on this gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and dry. Good fine carbonation. Smooth pale malt, touch of malt sweetness. Well balanced citrus and marmalade. Little floralness. Light finish. Pretty decent and very drinkable.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2013. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is hay, straw, earth, toast, grain and some citrus. The taste is crisp, floral, citrus peel, earth, hay, toast and straw with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good balance and very drinkable.
