Description
Nightjar Brew Co is the brand created by the team behind Slightly Foxed, established in 2011. This is a continuation of business – not one company going ‘under’ to re-emerge as another – same AWRS, VAT number, company number etc. After many successful years creating award-winning and popular cask beers, the brewery took a decision to undertake a significant rejuvenation.
But unlike a new entrant into the market, we come with many years of knowledge, learning, innovation, and expertise that’s mandatory for crafting a product that customers in 2018 are seeking out and expecting.

Keg at their pub. Murky cloudy purple and has an inoffensive strength. Medium berry flavour, lower sourness factor.

At Nightjar bar. Black with a small head. Its vanilla softens and smoothens up what would be a heavy stout otherwise. Its spice is more evident in taste than aroma. Is a tad grassy in design.

Extremely dark, primarily a stout although light tasting given its relatively lower strength for this style. The citrus additions do add an edge but are not too significant in taste.

Cask at House of Hop. Gluten Free. Hazed yellow gold colour, white foam head and aroma of citrusy hops. Taste is sweetish, malt, grainy with citrus, pine and hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry citric hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

One of the heavier hazy beers at the Pendle Beer Festival 2025, enjoyed just as the first entertainment takes place on the Friday evening. Some tropical fruit notes with a full-bodied texture.

Seeing out 2024 with this hazy golden effort - one of the last at my local for the year. Sessionable mostly hopped brew with good fruity undertones.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Hazy golden with a small head. Strength and density are notable, sugary tropical fruits provide flavour and aroma.

Cask @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Dark-brown with a thick light-brown creamy-frothy head. Smoothish, some chocolate in nose, but lost in dark-malty taste.
