Cask @ Cross Keys, Harpenden. Golden brown. Very lively with large lingering head. Faint aroma mainly of biscuit with some undefinable fruit. A hint of the sea oddly mixed in. Mild taste, sweet with fruit throughout; gentle finish. Aftertaste accentuates hops. Not an IPA of course, but a Classic English bitter. Wonโ€™t knock your socks off but itโ€™s still a decent drop.

Carry out from the brewery (ABV 4.2%) An opaque deep reddish chestnut pour with a ring of beige head; earthy malt aroma; soft earthy malt taste with some hedgerow fruit and caramel; and a lightly spiced caramel finish. A pleasant autumn bitter.

Cask @ Egham BF XV. Pours a very dark ruby brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with weak hoppy hints. Roasted malty caramel hoppy flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel hoppy finish.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is floral, spiced and slight herbal. Bitter, grassy and light spiced. Bitter, dry and slight herbal into the finish.

Cask at EBF XV, 08/08/13. Dark mahogony brown with a medium sized light tan head. Nose is toffee, ripe fruit, brown sugar, hoppy backnotes. Taste comprises dark caramel, sugars, dark fruits, light hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. A tasty bitter.

Polypin at a company barbeque in Marlow. Clear reddish copper, with a fruity aroma; some peach fruit and soft caramel malts in the mouth, with a decent prickly bitterness to finish, leaving a malty aftertaste. Perfectly drinkable.

From cask. Pours clear and golden brown with a deep amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is peachy, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Bitter, citrusy and peachy. Crisp hoppy and citrusy finish.
