Cask at Reading BF. Very nice orange and lemon whiff is very much more muted on tasting. A little banana and wheatiness too maybe but very mild. It’s smooth and pleasant but it’s not a patch on the Schneider Weiss style genuine article.

Golden, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma of soft light sweet fruits
Taste of soft pale caramel malts, soft fruits, apricot, light flavours
Palate - Medium light body, bit creamy, soft, bit oily, fairly sweet. Finish - some bitter citrus comes through much more, soft bitter linger

Half pint, cask at Belvedere Arms. Clear dark golden bod. Good amount of lacing from a low white head. Fruity hops on the nose. Fresh, mid-sweet citrus flavours added by herbal hints. More sweet than bitter to the aftertaste. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (Liverpool 02.02.2015).

Cask @ Joshua Brooks, Manchester. Almost black with an off-white creamy head. Quite crisp at first with a light roasted aroma, but it’s aftertaste holds most of its flavour.
