Description
Focussing on "the good side of life" is what Big Belly Brewing is all about. We love things a little bigger, going the extra mile, adding something special, being more creative. But above all, we love things in life that are a bit more fun.

All our beers are well balanced and made with premium "The Swean" malts, so we get the full, distinctive beers that we are proud of. After coming up with a special touch, we design a legendary character for every beer. Finally, we write and add an amusing story about the character and the beer. That's how we make one of the most fun things, drinking beer, even more fun.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is creamy malt with caramel, spicy and herbal notes, berries, and a touch of honey. Metallic aspect as well. Flavour is honey sweetness and light bitterness. Body is medium and slightly creamy. Not really to my liking due to the honey and metallic notes.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is roasted malt with dark chocolate, liquorice, soft whiskey, notes of coffee, a touch of dried dark fruits, and some wood from the whiskey. Flavour is sweet with a nice roasy bitterness in the finish. Body is almost full. Sweet and pretty smooth, pleasant level of infused whiskey, leaves plenty of room for the base Porter to shine.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is strong coconut and bounty chocolate bar, cookies, tiramisu, more coconut, dark malt, caramel, fudge, toffee, sugar, marzipan, some alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet and sugary with a decent roasty bitterness. Body is above medium. Pretty candied and artificial but I like this dumb beer, heavy on the milk chocolate and coconut, I have a fondness for this.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is strong candied peach with cheesecake indeed, light malt, more sugary canned fruits. Pretty sweet flavour but there's bitterness as well. Body is medium. Decent drink but for me a bit too sweet and artificial.
