Bottle. An unclear, copper colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head leaving some lacing. The aroma has green apples, caramel, bread, nuts and some roasted malts. It’s full-bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Bread, caramel and lots of green apples in the flavor. Long finish. Way too much on the green apple side this one. Not very good. 170107

Bottle. A lightly hazy dark golden colored beer with a dense fingerthick off-white head. Caramel malts, bread and nuts in the aroma. It’s medium bodied, smooth and semi-dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Caramel, bread and nuts in the flavor, lasting for a good while. A decent beer indeed, but not much interesting going on. 170107

500 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a big, fluffy off-white head. A bit mild, nice citric and tropical fruit aroma. Flavor is soft malty with plenty of American hops, citric, some tropical, dry fruit and marmalade with caramel malt in the background. Nice bitterness. All in all a fine balanced beer with a balanced body and nice aftertaste. More than just a hop driven APA/IPA but it’s probably at its best served like this, totally fresh.

Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body with light carbonation. Dusty toasty caramel aroma with sugary notes. Dryish dusty earthy fruity taste with caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish mealy red fruit aftertaste with solventy finish. It’s not bad, but it’s not quite right, either. (0.5l bottle, from Meny Strømmen. Batch # unreadable, but ends in 7.)

Big brown head. Nearly opaque black body. Roasty earthy mealy aroma with toasted rice notes. Dryish mealy earthy taste with burnt toast notes. Very faint acidity. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry earthy toasty aftertaste with mealy notes and faint fruit. Lingering burnt toast notes. It’s perfectly OK, but a little low on flavour and interest. (0.5l bottle, from some shop near home. Batch #053.)
