Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.
Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Keg at Brewdog, Bristol 21/12/2021. Hazy and on the boundary between pink and purple in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Big raspberry and dark berry character, with a tart edge, some blueberry sweetness and a touch of sourness in the fruity finish. A pleasant drink.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours black with a massive beige head. Seems a bit over-carbonated. Aromas of cherry coke, liquorice. Taste is kinda chocolate cake, but not much cherry going on. Dry cocoa powder finish.

Bottle from Green's of Ellon. It pours hazy golden - orange with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, sweet, orange squash, tangerine, grapefruit, nectarine, mango, floury bread, cracker and grain. The taste is firmly dry, good hit of bitterness which lingers, green and piney upfront, damp dankness, pithy, zesty, bitter peel, grapefruit, tangerine rind, minerality, peppery spice, light astringency, floury bread and cracker with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy. Bitterness takes you by suprise, as aroma is quite soft and fruity. Grates a bit after a while. Not bad overall.
