Established in 2016 in Elsdon, the heart of Northumberland. The First & Last is an award winning, family-run, microbrewery. We brew small batch cask-conditioned and bottled beer. Our beers are inspired by the wild, untamed landscape and starry skies of Northumberland.

Cask at GBBF Winter: Poured a golden with white bubbles. Aroma is perfume Amarillo hops and malts. Taste is Amarillo hops with a soft malts.

Cask @ GBBF Winter, Birmingham. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 080220

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, hops, tropical fruit and grass. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Bit soapy to finish.

Cask @ GBBF, Birmingham. Small head with short duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, hops, flowers and has a sweet fruity finish.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee, light stewed prune. Taste is light sweet, light roast, fruity, cocoa. Decent.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria, Alnwick. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of malt extract, boiled lemon sweets. Taste is sugary sweet, more lemon. Sweet finish.
