(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Oud Arsenaal) The beer poured mahogany red and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma was fruity and mildy vineous. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, Belgian style yeastiness, fruitiness, spiciness, malts, mildly fennel, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Beer with nothing extra but also nothing wrong - good aroma and taste.

750 ml. Deep amber/brown body, hazy. Frothy off-white head that slowly reduced to frizzy pools. The aroma is malty with notes of biscuit, lilac, caramel, toasted grain, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. The floral background delivers bitterness throughout. But it’s not enough to balance the sweetness which tastes artificial. It seems this beer wants to be more delicate than it is or can be because of the sweetness. On the other hand, there is lots going on in this beer including some interesting tastes plum, lilac, floral hops and apple.

750ml rubber corked bottle. Pours a deep stained-glass amber-black. Head fades to a thin, soapy layer. First taste makes me think Tripel with lots of chocolate malt thrown in. Rich lactic chocolate notes. Slightly pungent, has some Milk Stout or Dunkel characteristics, with Belgian refinement. Fairly unique beer, quite pungent, with some nice dark fruit tones on the aftertaste. Well done.

Solid head, slightly foggy yellow-white body with little carbonation. Soft aroma of hops mostly, with some malts. Taste is soft hops with just a hint of malts; it’s a triple for certain, with a bit of a darker tinge. Modest finish, modest brew, not outstanding. Firmly in the middle of the pack.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Wheat beerish! Smooth and slightly tangy fruit. Doesn’t taste like 7.5%.

Pours with huge head, off yellow colour with lots of carbonation. Aroma is cardboard, barnyard funk, and wheat beer detergent. Flavour is a good mix of blanche and blonde flavours - lots of hops, too much alcohol however. Soggy palate. But it’s a decent beer, unique in its blonde-blanche flavour mix.

Toffee and raisin nose. Clear brown, medium yellow head. Very sweet big initial intensity. Flavor is of candied raisins. Medium body, smooth. Comes into better balance upon warming. Alcohol well concealed. Unspectacular, but nearly sessionable.
