Long-lived white head over a pale golden hue. Aroma of sweet, late fruits. Rather sweet flavour with a refreshing amount of wheat and malty grain. Medium palate (sampled at BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008).

Very nice in appearance with its mahogany body under a beige foamy head. Roasted sweet malty aroma. Smooth and harmonic taste of sweet fruits, milk chocolate offset by bitter coffee notes towards the ending. Well bodied (BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008).

Foggy, amber body under a moderate white lacing-head. Smell of roasted, sweet grain. Late fruit in flavour supported by dry tartness, yeast and alcohol - all quite well integrated. Full mouthfeel (Sampled at BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008).

My notes from the fieldwork at The Belgian Beer Fair some days ago go like this: Sweet, dry, yeasy, strong and refreshing. (Almost) clear, yellow-golden body. Lasting and lacing white head. Light spicy to the nose with hints of coriander. Airy palate. Reasonable sweet for the style. Quaffable (Oslo, 10.04.2008).

bottle - Pours slightly hazy gold with a one finger head. It has a mild aroma that includes notes of banana and some alcohol. Moderately sweet malt and very mild banana notes in the flavor are joined by the alcohol and lead into a dry, rather alcoholic finish. It’s drinkable, but for the style is very simple and flat tasting (not the carbonation, which is fine).

Bottle. Pours an almost clear, brown body with a beige head. Slightly sourish nose with dried fruits, a little oxidation and a vague anise-like aroma. Sweet flavor with dried fruits, caramel, candi-sugar and some oxidation. Quite weak and forgettable, still nice. Medium, slightly effervescent mouthfeel. Caramel, dried fruits and sugars in the finish. Pleasant, all-day beer, but lacking a bit on the sourness. (080220)
