(Bottle) Amber colour with big, frothy, off-white head. Fruity, slightly metallic nose with apricots, toffee and caramel. Fruity taste with apricots, toffee, biscuity malt and a slightly spicy finish. Sweetish, but staying within balance. Medium body. Solid and tasty, but wouldn’t suffer from more punch and personality.

Cannot definitely age this but its definitely at least 2002, but I would guess more like 2000. Stamped L284. It pours a murky brown with a small head. Aroma is lively with light raisin, with sweet black bread, and light lemon-y wild characteristic. It seems aged but not in the "old" or "cardboard" way but the light lemon-like aspect. Taste is lightly water-y from the age, then there is a light black bread sweetness and light chocolate plum candy. A lighter side of medium body with a lightly below average carbonation. Aged nicely enough but I would not wait any longer.

Interesting and unique attractive aroma that is slightly sour or tart, perhaps like fresh berries without the fruityness. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance. Barely any carbonation. Aroma carrries over to the taste. Unique and fruitlike, hides the 9% very well. Alky and fruit make this come across like mild cough medicine at times. Interesting and fun, glad to have had the chance to taste this stuff. Decent example of a well made tripel. These Belgies really put the american made imitations to shame.
