Colour is yellow, very clear. Yellowish, thick head. Nose of a summer grainfield, a sweetness and a leafy note. hints of some ester, fruity. The taste is immediate sweet but then bitterness jumps up as a surprise, as the nose didn't warn at alll. It is not a pure hop-bitterness, more something vegetable. Candisugar, probably too. Alcohol is very prominent, sugar becomes a bit sticky. Bitterness keeps hanging around in the back of the mouth, but the yeast yields more hoppy tones, at last. It's all there, but unbalanced...

Roman Brewery
Dark amber; creamy generous head. Aroma of malt, cork, nuts. Sweet, but less than other Christmas beers, malty, caramel, light liquorice, a bit corky, well balanced, with a well bitter final (also the roasted malt contributes).

Bottled. Deep golden with creamy head. Spicy nose. Nicely malty and well balanced with concentrated, dry hoppy flavour. and a balanced sweet/bitter finish. Wow!

Odd light brown color. But with the spicy aroma and taste, it is a Duvel-look-a-like, though you wouldn't have guessed it when you look at the color. I really enjoy these types of beers.

Clear golden color, lasting head. Spicy aroma. Spicy hoppy taste, bit metallic and yeasty. Not as good for a blonde as the score would suggest.

Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Golden colour and clear, with little head. I get berries, spices and honey in the aroma. It has a funky, dryich and yeasty flavour and a quite bitter finish with some salt, obvious yeastyness and perhaps a hint of metal. Complex.

Weak tripel in my opinion. Bit sweet. Not much of an explicit or complex taste.
