Bottled. Clear golden, no head. Sweet with notes of saccharine and black currant.Thin, but it carries the flavour better than expected for 1.3% beer. Low bitterness.

Bottled. Clear dark brownish red. Roasty and aromatic. Dryish and light bodied with clean, hard mouthfeel and some crystal malt flavour. salty finish.

Thick, creamy cream-coloured head; deep red-brown beer, nearly opaque. Caramel, brown candi syrup nose; cypress and dark malt aroma’s, teeny chocolate powder touch. Cola-like taste, candi syrup, slightly burnt caramel. Rather metallic than woody or sourish character. Bit empty MF, more watery than most Oud Bruins. Slightly sticky finish. Easily drinkable, no doubt. But it is a poor example in its style.

Huge, very slightly lemon-coloured head, slowly collapsing; light yellow-golden beer. Initial vanilla cream, afterwards lemony, nearly lime nose, pinch of coriander, dash of honey - fresh smelling. Liquorice in the taste. Bit leafy, herbal touch, but mainly sweet. Some yeasty esters, and faint caramel in the finish. Well carbonated, not fizzy, medium bodied, just a bit slick & cobwebs. Nothing great, just a decent blonde. Which is sometimes exactly what it ought to be.

Golden color with huge beautiful cloudy white head, lace. Aroma is fruity (Fairy washing liquid), slightly ashy. A bit sweetish, hoppy, citron flavored blond. Quite light bodied. Finishing with an alcoholic touch. Clean but one-dimensional and too thin.

(250 ml bottle, bought at Borough Market, London). Dark but clear red-brown colour, large fluffy head. Aroma of heather honey, caramel and plums. Flavour is malty sweet, some caramel, very little hops, watery-dusty (does that make sense?) finish. OKish, but not remarkable.

Dark ruby with good cloudy brown head. Light aroma of toffee. Simple flavor of sugar and toffee plus some malts with warming alcohol kick. Maybe needs more maturing, now quite plain ale - not bad but not very complex.
