Deep amber with an off white creamy head. Flavour is bready, caramel/malty. Soft palate. Medium body. Overall pleasant - but very simple. Light sweetness. Short finish! Very little sour compared to other Flemish ales!

Test vom 22.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,8,9,8 - 8,35

Pours a golden colour with quite a lot of white head and has a little sediment. A nice aroma of yeast and perhaps a little honey. The taste is similar, there’s some tart fruits and a kick of alcohol aswell as a slight hint of honey on the aftertaste. Good solid beer.

Bottled (BB 09/2008)
Amber color, huge cloudy and creamy white head. Lime-hoppy and herbal aroma. Carbonated mouthfeel. Citrusy flavor with sugar presence. Leaves bitter, metallic and then empty mouthfeel. Shows some alcohol. Not an outstanding strong ale, but drinkable Belgian.

Big white head. Yellow body. Mealy, rubbery aroma. Sweetish spicy milky yeasty aroma with wheaty and toffeeish notes. Rounded, sharpish mouthfeel. Dry, grassy mealy milky aftertaste. Nice, but a bit dull. (0.33l bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp.)

Bottle: Golden, not completely clear, visible carbonation, stable, small head like half-melted ice; soureish fruity nose, a bit alcoholic, like a cheap mediterreanean white wine; sweetish-tart flavour, quite light bodied; a bit warming, grainy-vinous finish. A boring brew.......

Bottle (33cl): Hazy, golden coloured, small white, very stable foamy layer; fruity, lemony, orangey nose, a bit zesty, a bit of alcohol in the background; full bodied, creamy MF, robust sweetish-bitter flavour; fruity-sweet finish with a light tartness in the aftertaste. Good stuff, well rounded, well quaffable..........

Bottle: Deep reddish-amber coloured, very stable mid-sized sandy head; fruity nose (dark berries, a bit zesty, mixed with citrus-fruits), underpinned by darh malt; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied; warming caramelly and sweet-fruity finish, followed by some bitterness in the very end. Nothing special..........
