GBBF Day 3. Cask. Almost clear deep brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Good condition. Smooth brown malts, slightly earthy. Touch of creamy sweetness. Tangy dry chocolate. A touch floralness and mild ripe fruits. Smooth finish. Nice

Cask gravity at GBBF 2018. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, chocolate cake, spice, earthy, umami, dull smoke, meatness and ash. The taste is dry, bitter, spicy, charred, wood, umami, liquorice, ashy, charred, toothy, peppery spice and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent porter.

Can, undated, drunk 6/16/18.
Lime-tinged brass. White head fades immediately to nothing. Lightly hazy.
Brett and mild citrusy play nicely in the nose. The combination actually makes it smell very pear-like. Dry and not boozy or sharply estery.
In the mouth it's mega dry with light lime rind-like Brett notes. Light lemon balm and soft, dull tannin. Initially it even seems too dry, but the spritzy carbonation adds back some perceived body and the apple grows lightly juicy, while the tannin gets chewy, as it warms. No sweetness ever, but it never gets astringent, either. Very low hop bitterness.

A pale golden yellow cider with nice effervescence. In aroma, weird sweet butterscotch with light barrel notes, woody notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity apple with light chalky character, light mineral notes, light woody notes, a bit tired. Bottle is about 3years old.

Refrigerated bottle drunk 11/11/17.
Blueberry skin-to-violet appearance, good clarity. Brett, yay! With light blueberry behind it. Very light honey and or juice sweetness, but mostly light brett acids filling out the aroma. No alcohol or flaw.
Softer than expected in the mouth. Sweeter, as well (though certainly not "sweet" in the real sense of the word), with mild tartness and less blueberry through the middle than expected, based on the nose. It comes out quite a bit on the finish, however, and lingers long on the plate, quite enjoyably. Little/no tannin nor much spice from seed/skin with tons of tart Brett acidity. Low carbonation, soft texture. Mild, easy and lovely.
