Can from Lidl. Black bid in with a beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherry, vanilla and dark chocolate. Flavour of Black Forest gateau and copper penny. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is very nice and it pleases me that there’s no lactose used.

440ml can: BBE November 2025. Shared with Ant on 22nd September 2024 during a min-tasting-session. Deep amber body, off-white head. It's the lightest 'heavy' alcohol wise I ever had and it's body depth let it down too. Malty for sure but it was too watery for the style I remember from years ago.

The aroma is fresh, fragrant, lemon peel, grapefruit, pomelo, fragrant, floral and crackery malt. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, pithy, zesty, lemon peel, pomelo, grapefruit, candied peel, floury bread and cracker with a drying finish. Lightish body and average, fluffy carbonation. Easy going and quenching.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours cloudy yellow - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and fruity, kiwi fruit, melon, gooseberry, star fruit, floury bread, spice and dried florals. The taste is crisp, dry, some green bitterness, tropical fruits, melon, lime, kiwi, gooseberry, some spice, pithy, chalky and floury bread with a drying finish. Light to medium body and soft, fluffy carbonation. Aroma is probably better than the slightly chalky taste, but not bad anyhow.
