Cask at Golden Eagle, Derby. The replacement beer ( see Magpie Best). Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Nose has citrus and malts. There is some bite / sharpness in the taste, but also an underlying sweetness. Malts and floral hops with hints of lemon. The finish is slightly bitter.

Cask @ Polished Knob, Todmorden. Clear golden with a creamy head and a glow. It has a low malty aroma and taste fused with a hoppiness.

Cask at Babington Arms, Derby Pours a fairly dark reddish brown with a tight cream head. The nose is pleasant and malty. In the mouth it is sweet and malty with dark fruits. However, I agree with Fat Phil about the slightly sour aftertaste - but I think it adds to the flavour ! Finish is sweet and creamy. A simple beer but excellently done !

Handpull cask at Ripley's Little Ale House. Reddish brown, absolutely clear with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with light berry notes. It's muted but enticing. Sweet taste at first, with berry and tannic notes, followed by an extreme hoppy bitterness. The bitterness pervades throughout the finish. TCP and astringent fruit notes in the aftertaste. Balance isn't great but this is enjoyable overall.
