Cask at Swan, Blackheath / Halesowen. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head. Not much of an aroma – just general maltiness. In the mouth the aforesaid malts are joined by some traditional hops, a base of caramel and some hints of autumn fruits. The finish is somewhat fruity and slightly dry. It’d OK – bit of a nothing beer really.

Cask @ The Armoury during the Feb 2022 floods. Generally clear amber with a handsome white head. Good well rounded bitter as you'd expect from Heritage, gentle caramel moments with a nice hop bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol October 2021. Golden in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Leafy hops, rich tea malts, a touch of stone fruit, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby – at 5.6%. Pours a hazy copper brown with a small cream head and good lacing. There’s a general fruity aroma to this one. In the mouth there’s a balance between fruity hops and sweet malts, maybe a bit more on the hoppy side. It is quite bitter with oranges and caramel. Finish is bitter too. It seemed a bit all over the place, but that may be a reflection on the cellarmanship, so I guess it requires a rerate.
