500ml bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye. Pours a misty amber, still. Aroma of fairly rich apple fruit, faint brown sugar. Taste presents a lightly sour apple fruit character, hints of bandages with faint sweet apple elements, drying close. Ok.

500ml bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay On Wye. Pours foggy orange, thin ring of bubbles. Aroma is musty pear fruit. Taste is distinctive perry pear with a good pear-like sweetness, some vanilla hints, and a bright, raw tang. Very moreish. Very good perry.

500ml bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is lightly sweet fresh apple orchard. Taste is farmhouse smooth with lightly sweet apple juice before an expedient drying finish. Like Fin says, it is moreish mainly because you find yourself wanting to get more of that juiciness before it quickly disappears. Good stuff.

Box @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden coloured. Dry tasting with a heavy sweetness and plenty of dry fizz in the palate. It’s apple lingers long in its aftertaste. Sugary in its nose.

Bag in a box at Merton Beer Festival Friday & Saturday 27th & 28th February 2015. In many respects this is actually as is, i.e. a sweetened version of the standard (dry) cider, I guess the sweetness detracts a little from the fact that this is also a little light in the depth of flavour department, but before this sounds like I am being critical, let me just say it is a perfectly fine cider. Hazy gold, pleasant easy drinking sweet light juicy appley lacks a little bite but it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
