Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy golden with no head. Tart and dry apple notes with some acetone. Medium body, completely flat, dry and tart apples with some rough and unclean farmhouse notes. Some tannins come late leaving an astringent touch. 180211

Bottle that I picked up at Oakchurch, Staunton-on-Wye, Herefordshire consumed 09.02.11 Pours warm gold almost an Irn Bru tinge of colour to this but lacking the carbonation of that beverage, there is a tiny bit of haze, otherwise excellent looker. Really juicy sweet apples, easy drinking, sweet admittedly but very moreish, I could have happily sunk a few of these. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from a shop in Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire, purchased 27.11.10 consumed 05.12.10 Golden in colour with haze, no bubbles, first piss of the day sort of look. Aroma is appley with a dash of white wine vinegar. Taste is a little sour, quite a bit of acidy number, Loz really likes this and whilst I can appreciate it I find it repeats a little, high tannins. Very bittersweet and good although not really for me, be interesting to see what I’ve thought of other Brownsnout S/V ciders. . A7 A4 T5 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle from a shop in Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire, purchased 27.11.10 consumed 02.12.10 Pours hazy gold/yellow, stiil in appearance no bubbles at all. Juicy in the mouth but there is also a powderyness and fleshiness to this. I could really get into this and have a few, some cooked fruit pie also in mouth, lovely. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6

Bottle from Bacchus, Crickhowell @ 6.0% ABV. Deep amber in colour with no carbonation. Light apple blossom and sweetish fruit aroma with a hint of green leaves. Flavour was sweet, with some toffee, pulped fruit and flinty edge, leading to a medium finish. Good.

Polycask at Merton Beer and Cider Festival, Merton, Oxon, 16-07-09 Pours gold, slight haze and good effervesence. Nice fresh nose appley but also really floral and quite perfumey, most unusual but really quite pleasant. Nice appley crunch, this is really refreshing. There is a gentle sweetness that runs lingers throughout but it also has a nice tangy background, pleasant stuff just intrigued by the perfumey aroma. A8 A3 F6 P3 Ov14 3.4
