Description
Sam and Maudeline Black are a husband and wife team who started their brewing company Blacks Brewery in 2013. This venture/obsession first began many years ago when Maudeline gave Sam a beer making kit for Valentines Day. What started as a hobby quickly developed into an obsession and thus through Sam’s passion and enthusiasm Blacks Brewery became reality. Living the dream since 2013! In 2015 the Distillery was added. We are Ireland's first co-located micro brewery and Distillery.

440ml can at home. Pours a traditional NEIPA murkiness with a medium off white head. Citrus, pink grapefruit, green onion, and mandarin in the aroma. Flavour is the same with more of the green onion and pink grapefruit evident. Smooth mouthfeel without being watered down.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A golden amber pour with a long lasting white head; grapefruit aroma; full bodied, with caramel malts,a nd resinous hops adding a gentle but persistent bitterness; then a dry finish. A excellent showcase for Mosaic.

Foamy white head left a frothy cover on a pale amber coloured still body. Bitter hops, pithy & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & slightly tickly on the back with a sticky aft. Big hoppy start with pith, caramel, pine, grapefruit & bitter fruit with a sweeter confectionery tasting finish. Nice.

44 cl can @ home. BBE 08/2020 Nice aroma with resiny malt and mild fruitiness. Aroma is odd and musty with soil, some forest aroma and mold. Also some resiny malt in the background. Not a succedful brew.
