16 September 2020. At Draft & Dreams, Bologna. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy black, very thin, frothy, beige head. Aroma of brambleberry, sour coffee nibs, prune, dark chocolate powder, wet tobacco. Taste has sweet yet restrained maltiness, prune, toat & peanut mingling with sour berries, a bit herbal hoppy into the finish with low toast & roasted coffee. Medium to light body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Promising nose but falls a bit flat.

330ml bottle. Pours gold, small white head, decent retention Chewy tropical fruit sweet aroma, pine, flora; all good Taste is a little lighter than I expected. A little bland at first but then a stewed tropical fruit note builds nicely, then gives way to a citrus soapy note (not bad but not great), and then finally a nice strong bitterness comes in with some orange. Body is slightly light for a 6.5% IPA and then accordingly the carbonation a bit too low for the body. A mixed bag but overall I enjoyed it

440ml can at home. Deep amber pour with a thin cream colored head. Nose is fruity hops, caramel, this is very nearly a US style barley wine more than a DIPA. Nice malt forward flavour, well balanced DIPA. Soft carbonation.

(Keg at Muikea Muikku, 20200801) The beer poured reddish brown and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel, earth and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, pine, earth, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A decent malty brew with strong notes of caramel.

Bottle from Beer52. Clear golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Mango aroma and initial taste with orange juice and florals emerging. Decently full mouthfeel - pretty smooth. Sweetish with just a touch of bitterness. Flavours may not be that punchy, but it's nicely balanced compared to many IPAs and very drinkable. Decent if not outstanding.

Can from Beercloud. Murky orange with a medium head. Aroma of grapefruit. Flavour is grapefruit, lots of of sticky fruity, long bitter flavoursome finish.
