330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of mango, papaya, black currant. Taste is bitter and fruity hoppy, notes of black currant, a mineral touch. Simple, refreshing, very nice.

[ As Blacks KPA Kinsale Pale Ale ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, nutty, dusty, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dusty, nutty. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20161008] 6-3-6-3-12

500ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of light liquorice, dark malts, cocoa powder. Taste is fruity, liquorice, some earthiness. Dry finish. Decent.

500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, superbly lacing, beige head. Dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of blueberry, bramble, dark chocolate. Taste is dark malty, slightly roasty, minimally ashy and metallic, fruity notes of blueberry and bramble, hints of dark chocolate, very cautious hints of iron and blood; an additional touch of liquorice in the finish. .

500ml bottle. Clear, darkest brown colour with ruby glimmer and average, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of red berries and dark berries, blueberry, a touch of plum, dark malty background with a pumpernickel touch. Taste is dry hoppy, fruity and dark malty, slightly doughy yeasty, notes of plum and red berries, a touch of pumpernickel, cocoa and dark chocolate. If not genuinely an Irish, definitely an un-American interpretation of the style.

Black, ruby edges, frothy off white head
Aroma of grainy malts, hint of dark toffee malts, nothing else
Taste of dark malts, soft roast, some soft citrus hops, hint of grassy hops, harshness to this, lack of complexity for the abv, not a great recipe
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, dab of alcohol. Finish - much more roasted malt in the finish, bitter citrus hops, some booze
Overall - Disappointed with this - an imperial BIPA should be a lot better than this

T42 tasting on me Birfaday. Clear amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Light palate, softish, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dry malts, mildly sweet. Spice. Some alcohol showing. Floralness. Trace of dark chocolate. Light spicy finish. Fruity linger. Bit clunky but not too bad.

Clear deep dark ruby brown colour, small frothy beige head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma malts, light lemon, pine, milk chocolate. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, chocolate, some pine, light roast. Thin sweetbitter aftertaste, earthy and chocolate notes, light to medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. Could use a bit more body but decent enough.
