Since mid 2019 has Heineken a minority interest in the brewery. On June 21, 2023, it was announced that Heineken had acquired all shares of the brewery and thus became full owner of the brewery. The takeover coincides with the move of Oedipus.
The brewery and taproom at Gedempt Hamerkanaal 85 were closed on April 14, 2024. The brewery and taproom were moved to Schaafstraat 19, 300 meters further, where the Oedipus Craft Space will open in the early summer of 2024.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt with soft Szechuan peppers and liquorice. A herbal laurel touch. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium with too heavy carbonation. Enjoyable, soft pepper and laurel/liquorice.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is syrupy with massive salty liquorice, roasted malt, herbal cough syrup, dark chocolate, notes of dark fruits and epresso. Flavour is quite sweet with some roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is full with sticky texture. I prepared for the worst because I don't like heavy liquorice in my beer, and while this is pretty much a liquorice overdose, I found it fairly 'sippable'. Not one I'd like to revisit though, to say the least.

From tap at Proeflokaal Mout, Groningen. Aroma is grassy and yeasty with peppery and strong herbal notes. Light fruity with a tropical hint. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter with a dry finish. Body is medium. Nice. Despite the dry hopping the Soraci Ace is still the dominant hop.

Bottle from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Aroma is bretty with malt, stewed overripe fermented fruits, funk, some caramel. Flavour is mild tart and sourish with a fairly dry finish. Body is medium. It doesn't all come together, but I dig the heavy brett funk influence.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Fruity and malty aroma with caramel, dried dark fruits, figs, and an unexpected hoppiness. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a welcome moderate bitterness. Body is medium. Not your typical Bock because of the hoppiness.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Fruity aroma with orange, yeast, ripe fruits, pale malt, fruity hops, floral and soft tropical notes, light spicy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a hint of tartness. Body is above medium. Nicely fruity and hoppy with a fairly sturdy body, not as yeasty as I'd expect from a Saison, quite solid.

Bottle from Oedipus. Aroma is nicely vinous with white wine, modest raspberry, grain, tart white grapes, damp hay, and some funk. Flavour is tart and moderate sour with a hint of sweetness. Mildly dry finish, body is medium. Very good, wine barrels work well with the Saison.
