Tap at Shelton Brothers. Hazy glowing gold with a finger of foam. Nice earthy, brett nose with some dried pineapple and apricot. Clean and crisp with light clove and lemon on the finish. Great really.

Draught at Armbsy Abbey, 10/6/16.
Clear, straw-golden body is topped by a small, but fairly firm, white head.
Biscuity and bready grains in the nose are refreshing and zesty. Lemony-herbal hops make their way in as well, and a harmonious balance is struck. Lots of sourdough, thyme/oregano character and very clean, with no alcohol. Seems quite dry from the nose, though light honey does break through signifying some remaining base malt.
Well-carbonated with a big sourdough/toasted malt character that is offset somewhat by light honey and dough. Pepper, herbs, crackers and a light mineral character all tickle the palate and the beer is indeed well-attenuated and fairly well-malted. Lots of lemon, herb and maybe just a touch more bready/toasty character than I’d like, but it adds a robustness to it that makes for a bit stronger flavor, which is fine depending on what mood youre in. Still plenty of refreshing qualities to it, as well. I’d like more malt suppleness/softness on the palate, as well.

The Sampler, Bushwick tap: pours super pale with a white head. Aroma is bready, grain, with a bit of hops. Taste is pretty light and almost watery. Subtle and bready. Good but not as good as people are saying.

Torst, Brooklyn tap: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is light cocoa, hints of roast, pleasant maltiness. The balance and subtelty of this beer take it to the next level. Nice light and not sweet chocolate taste. Mild hoppiness. Well executed.

Growler from the brewery. Pour is hazy, yellowish-orange. Frothy head. Fruity hops, peach, melon, cracker, grains, a bit of spice, and some wheat notes. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Very clean and crushable. There's a nice, light, spicy tingle on the close. Maybe a bit thin, but overall, this is a good one for sure.

Growler from the brewery, purchased yesterday, consumed today (10/9/16). Pours a murky golden-orange with a frothy head and some fairly strong lacework. Beautifully fruity hopped aroma. Melon and stone fruit, grapefruit, some pine, and a bit of grass as well. Tastes similar. Clean, mid-sweet, mid-bitter. Super crushable. Feels slightly thin, but otherwise I enjoyed it very much.

Growler from the brewery - drank at the cabin in NH. Pours unclear gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Some dank hops in the nose, melon, light pine, peach and mango. Lightly sweet with further dank aspect, more melon, light pithy grapefruit, some crispy pale bread, more melon and peach. Light bodied with smooth, perfect carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, with light minerality, a touch of rindy bitterness, more melon, pithy grapefruit and peach. Excellent. Super drinkable. What’s not to like?

Growler domed at the cabin in NH. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold with a big, fluffy white head. Nice crispy biscuits in the nose, some straw and hay. Light sweet flavour with crispy pale bread, faint grassy bitterness, more straw and biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean on the finish, well balanced, with more lightly dry and crispy biscuits, pale grains and cereal, hay, grass. An outstanding pils.
