Description
Anchor is America’s first and oldest craft brewery, with roots dating back to the California gold rush. Today, our beers are handmade from an all-malt mash in our traditional copper brewhouse. Our process combines the time-honored art of classical craft brewing with carefully applied, state-of-the-art modern methods.

Bottle. I was a little disappointed with this one. Oh, I thought it was good but I had higher expectations. Smell was a tad weaker then should be. Appearance was nice dark brown color. Flavor was good because I like dark beer but it was a little weak. Overall, good beer but if I had more options I would probably choose another.

Bottle. Don’t understand what makes this beer stand out. Tastes like any other premium lager to me. Anyway. It still has a good taste and I would recommend it to anyone who has not drank it before.

Bottle. Bownish red color. Some head and very lacey. Very hoppy tasting and not much maple flavor. More of a slight maple aroma but not much. Not what I expected.

Can. Dark golden appearance with a medium to small head. Aroma was grains, just a tad of a hoppy aroma. Taste was very well balanced with a really nice up front flavor and a crisp refreshing finish.

Bottle at home, isolation beer #11. Pours orangeish, copperish golden with long lasting off-white head. Nose is pine, malts, citrus peels, slight oxidization. Taste is moderately bitter, somewhat sweet notes of resinous and citrusy hops, bready malts and honey. Bittersweet finish, ligh body, average carbonation. Not the freshest bottle, but still pretty decent.

Bottle shared at Monyo. Pours copper with white head. It’s somewhere between a traditional, English style BW and a more modern, American iteration of the style: it’s as malty and herbaly hoppy as the first, but shows the bitterness and resinous hoppy character (mainly in the finish) of the latter. Medium bodied with low to normal carbonation.
