On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear dark copper with off-white head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, ethanol, bubblegum. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness and alcoholic sharpness. Medium bodied, alcoholic warmth.

My Xmas rating No 37 2025/26.Dark almost black colour with flavour of roasted malt chestnut and earth nice warming mouth feels and good note of hops and caramel nice warming and mild taste good well balanced beer.

Can, #868, three weeks after canning. Pours dark brown, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with dark bread, cocoa nibs, muscovado and heather, as well as earthy hops with herbal notes. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is grainy, roasted malts with bread crust, burned sugar, dark chocolate and heather, as well as earthy hops with herbal minerals.

Bottle, vintage 2024, four years before bbd. Pours black, with a big, short lived mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with chocolate, muscovado and liquorice, as well as vanilla, almonds and wooden barrels. Creamy, velvety body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet malty notes with chocolate, muscovado, vanilla and almonds, as well as honey and bourbon barrels.

Aroma is tropical hops with passion, ripe mango and citrusy notes of orange peel, lime and grapefruit, as well as oaty minerals. Full body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is dank hops with citrusy notes of lime, orange peel, grapefruit and tropical notes of mango and stone fruits, as well as floral notes and oaty minerals.

Aroma is piney hops with citrusy notes of orange and stone fruits, as well as malts with cereals, hay and honey. Medium to full body, with fairly soft carbonation. Flavour is bitter piney hops with citrusy notes of grapefruit, orange peel and stone fruits, as well as malts with cereals and honey. Lingering hoppy finish.

Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dank hops with tropical notes of lime, litchi, gooseberries and ripe stone fruits, as well as wheaty minerals.

Can. A quite piney, resiny one, gentle bitterness, good carbonation. Perhaps a bit too harshly bittered, but refreshing indeed. Nothing particular going on here, but it's a solid brew for sure. 647414 251207
