Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black with orange chinks. Creamy and nicely proportioned white head. Nose - Bourbon biscuit and dried fruit. Toasty. Taste - cocoa powder, raisins and dark chocolate. Palate - roast and medium bodied. Roasty finish. Overall - great stuff.

Bottle from Amble high street. Pours clear dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of treacle, toffee, dark biscuit. Taste is dark chocolate, cocoa powder, raisins. Long finish.

Bottle from the greengrocer on Amble high street. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light lemon and custard. Taste is light lemon, light sweet malt. Dry finish.

Can from the greengrocer on Amble high street. Pours darkest brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts. Taste is sweet, but strangely thin. Ok.

Gravicask third, main bar at the Spa Valley 9th Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Dark reddish-brown body, spotty lacing, filmy layer. Smell of dark bread and berry-fruits. Brown malty flavours of toffee and nuts, added by moments of berry fruits. Mid-sweet malt-berry finish. Satisfying. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).

Fra gravicask. Delt med Rune på 9th Spa Valley Beer & Cider Festival. Mørk rødbrun. Skum langs glasset. Litt lacing. Aroma av mørke druer. Smaken tynn ananas. Litt tørr avslutning.

500ml bottle bought at Grape and Bean (former BIN 21) in Hexham, shared with Finn on a Northern train from York to Preston. Bubbly pearl white head, bright amber-gold coloured body, spotty lacing. Citrus and grassy hops on the nose. Flavoured with succulent citrus, orange and grapefruits. Mid-dry bitter ending. Clean in the mouth. Nice. (08.02.2019).

Third, cask in fine condition at The Heart of Northumberland, Hexham. Next to clear late straw coloured body. Upper part lacing, filmy layer. Mid-dry pale malty nose, distant citric hints. Vague taste of grain and herbal hops. Mid-dry finish, discreet citric hints. Rather anonymous. (08.02.2019).
