Description
We brew beer that is distinct because we believe that moments together call for something memorable. It could be our Midwestern roots, or the land we draw inspiration from, but crafting the right beer for the right moment is central to us.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), split with Matts_Property, side-by-side with Bourbon Barrel Stout. Pours black with a reddish tinge and a quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma of soured cherries, bourbon and sort of a rum-like presence -- rum coated candies. Flavour is ruined by the cherries, which is quite artificial and medicinal tasting, destroying the complexities creating by the bourbon barrels. The harsh rum notes come in later, finishing with a boozy (hard liquor-like), sweet and sour cherry finish. Not a fan of the cherry and bourbon barrel combination.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), split with Matts_Property, side-by-side with Bourbon Barrel Cherry Stout. Pours black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of bourbon barrel way upfront, vanilla, molasses and wood. Flavour is heavy on the bourbon, with overripe fruits, vanilla and booze. The palate is a bit overburdened with the bourbon and boozy notes. Quite solid though.

Pours a rather hazy, golden yellow with a very thick, frothy head. Floral hop/citrus aroma. Strong piney hop flavor with some citrus. Not as bitter as some IPAs. A good example of the style.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you! Pours muddy chestnut color, thick and creamy tan head, delicate lacing. Aroma of caramel and summer fruits. Taste is smooth, summer fruits, spiced butterscotch. One of the better barlywines that Iβve tried.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered, deep, opaque, amber-brown. Thick, creamy, beige head. Mellow malty aroma, maybe a touch of fruity vanilla, amber malt. Wow, this is really quite well done. Creamy, smooth caramel and chocolate malt tones, very rich. Relatively true to style, maybe a little heavier on the specialty malts. Some red fruit and nuttiness. A lot of depth, well made beer. Solid.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light bourbon notes with the typical vanilla notes and some sweet caramelized malt notes. Taste is a nice mix between some sweet, though not overly so, notes of caramelized brown sugar with some notes bourbon and vanilla. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Easily drinkable with good balance and level of complexity.
