Description
We brew beer that is distinct because we believe that moments together call for something memorable. It could be our Midwestern roots, or the land we draw inspiration from, but crafting the right beer for the right moment is central to us.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tripplebrew. Notch on label says brewed in JUL. Used a snifter. Small tan, head that died to nothing within a few minutes. Light CO 2. Very pleasant roasted chocolate malt nose. Bitter chocolate, coffee hints and a very nice dark fruit (Raisin or plum). The dark fruit is a nice accent in the finish. A bit thinner body for an Impy Stout, but what it lacks in body, it makes up for in taste. A nice drinkability and if I had another bottle, I would reach of it right now. This is a nice winter warmer indeed!

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tripplebrew. Notch on label says brewed in APR. Used an English pint glass. Thin ring of off white head hugs the glass. Mild to no CO 2. Nose is light chocolate nose, not much else. Lighter body with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate and caramel malt. The finish has a lightly bitter coffee aftertaste. Decent brew overall.

Bottle at Birch & Barley, October 2011. Dark brown with a small head. Quite a lot of chocolate in this one, also roasted malt. Smooth mouth feel and a long bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Dunkel hopfiger Antrunk, der bereits einen gewissen Alkoholgehalt erkennen lässt. Zitrus, dunkles Malz, aromatischer, sich aber unterordnener Hopfen. Vollmundig, in Teilen sogar recht schwer. Grapefruit, fruchtig-würzig, weiterhin angenehmer Hopfen. Ein wenig scharf, zum Ende steigt der Hopfenanteil und bietet auch grasige Noten. Gut! 8/11/11/12/10/12

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes fo malt, caramel, and cold coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and cold coffee, as well as lighter notes of alcohol, leading to a dry, roasted, and coffee like finish.
