355ml bottle. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, dark beige head. BA supported, roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dark toffee, dark caramel, spicy notes of Bourbon, vanilla, rye whisky. Taste is BA supported, alcoholic, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, lots of rye whisky, Bourbon, booze, some dark chocolate, dark caramel, toffee; very alcoholic finish with hints of glue and thinner.
Slightly viscous texture, smooth, soft and minimally cloying palate, fine, dense, soft carbonation.
Imbalanced, boozy - not my cup of tea.

500mL bottle drunk 8/18/26.
A speck of oxidation (no more than what would be expected) amidst a sea of rich malt showing caramel, fudge and roast. Some tannin/toasted oak on the very end alongside richly spirited Elijah Craig with a fair bit of round sweetness. No alcohol noted.
Toasted oak is immediate and becomes front-and-center. Grainy, toasty, heavily oaky; you gotta love toasted oak or this one will get tiresome. Personally, not a huge fan of heavily tannic anything, but they've done their best to create a silky, rich, sumptuous body to soak it up and balance. You have to appreciate the clarity of flavor here and the execution. It's not alcoholic, sharp or tannic in the sense that you get astringency or overdrying oak anywhere. For what it is, it's pretty elegantly done. That said, I'd rather taste the spirit itself (which, to be fair, is also present in a good amount) with only light oak character in most beers. Incredibly well-executed; even though it's not to my personal taste, gotta respect the craft here.

Bottle from Leftfield Beer. It like motor oily... darkest brown to black with a dissipating khaki head. The is rich and intoxicating, unctuous, oily, huge bourbon character, toffee, whisky fudge, vanilla, you h green, coconut water, toasted coconut, bounty bars, bourbon soaked oak, cacao nibs and premium milk chocolate. The taste is slick, thick, bitter - sweet, rich and intoxicating, boozey warmth, rich roasted malt, rich chocolate character, loads of bourbon, bourbon soaked oak, toffee, whisky fudge, ripe coconut, mars bar, maltesers, charred oak, burnt toast, umami, touch of coffee, mocha, toasty spice and some liquorice. Finishes is deeply toasted, slightly charred with bitter - sweet bourbon. Fullsome body and fine, supportive carbonation. Lovely rich flavour, but never too sweet or sickly..a beautiful quaffing ale.

Rumors are dark malt, toffee, roast, molasses, prunes. Flavors are similar to nose adding in some oak. Excellent body and carbonation. Touches of coffee and cocoa. Sweetness is just right. Very nice.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, minimal head. Strong burbona roma with dates and madeira. Sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Bourbon, caramel, chocolate and dates. Warming mid bitter finish.
