Description
Siren Craft Brew exists to encourage more people to enjoy, fall for and experiment with craft beer. The Sirens of Greek mythology would entice mariners with their magical songs. Their voices would entwine into a complex, layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that interact together in magical ways to create our ales. Each beer is individual, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture. Each holds its own secret. Each is a little dangerous. Liquid Mistress, Under Current, Sound Wave and Broken Dream are here to tease, sway and persuade. They gently beckon you to a new world of taste. Let yourself be carried away. Be enticed…

Lean and clean. Softly acidic, some mellow pine, lemony twang, a little salty bite. Not complex but it doesn’t need to be. Dry finish, tart and quenching. Nicely balanced, highly drinkable.

Can at home picked up from Siren online. A light hazed bright golden yellow straw coloured pour with fluffy white head. Aroma is soft fluffy wheat, bready grains, creamy orange, vanilla, tangy orange, vanilla, rolled wheat. Flavour is composed of flaked wheat, dry pithy citrus, chalky, orange rind, juicy fruits, peachy. Palate is chalky, grains, pithy, moderate fine carbonation. Decent.

Can thanks to my bro. It pours jet black with a brown head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred, umami, burnt toast, rich chocolate character, gateaux, bitter - sweet, espresso coffee, chocolate bourbon biscuits, dried fruits and toasted fruit cake. The taste is smooth, dark roasted malt, pretty sweet, milk chocolate, malt loaf, gateaux, charred, dark roasted coffee, mocha, warming, tiramisu, boozey and chocolate liqueur and dark roasty finish. Fulsome body and average carbonation. Maybe. A bit sweet for my liking, but not bad.

Can from Squires, Wokingham. Very dark brown. Glossy. Thick foamy beige head with decent lacing. Aroma has coffee and praline with a herbal bitterness. Flavourwise it's actually quite sour, tangy. Wasn't expecting that. A bitter herbal edge. Peripheral coffee and cacao in the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Surprised me in terms of flavour but pretty good.
